in a certain area in munich ( the olympic village of 1974 ), there are about more or less one hundred small cube houses, built for the olympic games 1974. they just consist of two rooms, one on ground level with kitchen and one upstairs, a very small bathroom and a balcony. very small

since the end of the olympic games 1974, they have been inhabited by students. and they painted their houses, individually.

i grew up there for a while, right in that olympic village, near these houses, their pictures are a memory of my youth.

now they are going to be tore down, because they start to fall apart. i feel sad when i think about it.
that´s why i went and took pictures of the painted cube houses and put the best ones in here, so you all can see them.

within the next days i put them up, i started already. have fun.

after shooting analogue fotos for over a decade ( yes i started early ), and having fun with digital cameras for almost a decade now ( and working with digital SLR´s for 3 years now ) i decided that there´s something in some pictures missing.

not all of them, of course, i think for 90% of my stuff digital is just right.

but, there´s something i missed...

so i blew the dust from my old analogue camera, loaded a black&white 400 film and some fresh batteries and off i went. had some fun, and decided to have a look at ebay for some analogue stuff...

and i almost fainted!

cameras i admired in the shops a few years ago while my wallet whined in vain... they´re available on ebay for a tenth of their worth! i bought a complete Olympus OM system yesterday ( every part from a different source ) for about almost nothing. i got a 50/1.8 OM lens for only one f*cking euro!

who can give away a camera like this for nothing? i just can´t believe it...

it´s not a digtal plastic thing, it´s a massive metal housing with finest mechanical craftmanship put into... with about the sharpest lenses one can get!

i feel like a kid locked in a candy store at the moment. yes, i´m just happily going bonkers on ebay

autumn´s approaching, and not enogh time to do all the projects i wanted to do this year... so many things not done yet, and new ideas piling up, propably some will never be done because... there´s not enough time.
